Wood carving has become a major passion with me, in the last two years. I have hand carved a variety of wooden sculptures, to name a few: Different types of chess sets [chessmen, chesstable and a pair of chairs of unique design],Colourful totempole,Hindu deities like Ganesha, Hanuman, Garuda, Semi-abstract sculptures like a Couple, Ma & babe, Different types of Human busts, African Warrior, Mermaid , Dragon and many more. Many more ideas keep popping up in my mind whenever I find some time to think.

I am a practicing Dermatologist. I had never done any wood carving in my life,  nor have I taken any professional training in woodcraft. It all started a few  years back when out of a sudden inspiration I picked up a teakwood pole lying in my backyard and started chopping at it with the one chisel available in the house and 'The Dragon' started taking shape. When the dragon was complete everybody including myself was surprised. My friend said "the dragon was already lying there in that piece of rotting wood, you just brought it out."

And so it started, one after the other the carvings materialized out of the wood. My work is purely inspirational. I have carved and made about 50 pieces of woodwork up to now, many of these I have gifted to my friends and relatives. I have taken up this ambitious venture of promotion and sale of my artwork with great hope. A hope that will turn into reality if you people like my work and start buying it. I am presenting a few photographs of my available work. In case the piece that you are interested in is already sold, I can make a similar piece for you, on order. Please note: as it is handcrafted work of art, it will not be the exact replica of the photograph and also there will be waiting period for the ordered work. Thank you!
